I'm a tad annoyed at the moment with baking. My oven appears to be 'off'. Any kind of larger item comes out brown on top and on the bottom, NOT. The Craftsman is contemplating looking at it. I keep thinking I'll ruin dinner some night and galvanize him into action. But, so far, things are ok. Cooking them at a tad higher temp for a longer period of time appears to be kind of working.
Two years ago, on Christmas, I will never forget breakfast. We traditionally have cinnamon rolls. They took 2 hours to cook. I had to have my MIL bake the rolls I made and a couple we were house sitting for said we could use their oven. As I carted the ham back to the house in snow and ice, I slid around a corner and almost ended up in a chain link fence! I was not driving fast, but it appears under 5 mph was a bit much for that particular corner.
I hope this year my oven does not give up the ghost on a holiday. I hope I can get all the cookies done I want to bake. I am thankful for hope! And brown sugar and flour and spices!
