The internet and cats seem to belong together. So, instead of posting more of MY cat photos (see my FB page..I have lots!), I will tell a story.
I was in a church with some littles who were watching Lilo and Stitch. The girls were getting bored with the movie and talking. As they watched the characters in their jobs, they decided the fire dancing would be fun and asked me what I did. The one girl was shocked to know I stayed home. "You don't have a job?" she queried. The other tiny preschooler then stated loudly, "She has cats." As if cats were the main reason a lady should not work out. I laughed!
The Craftsman and I have had many cats over the years. They are almost always inside outside cats and I know this curtails their otherwise long lives. A few have been inside only. Oddly, our oldest cat is both and he is almost 15 now. He may actually be older. I cannot imagine life without cats. I am not and have never been a dog person. Dogs have their place, but cats. Well, cats have all places.
And I'd never put a cat on a raft in this situation, but I laughed and laughed and laughed!!!
