I am not sure if anyone else sees her. There is a lady on this hillside. My vision of her shows her on her knees working on a net or something. Her rounded foot with pointed toes is at the bottom of the photo in a 'pale' spot and her face is a much lighter 'pale' spot at the top of the picture, near the edge of the cliff. I don't remember if anyone else on the ship saw her, either. She fascinated me. Forever doing a task, watching over the bay, and no one noticing her.
One of my friends said he was going to spend the day with his wife. I couldn't imagine it. When The Craftsman and I spend a day together, it usually is like a normal weekend day with perhaps a meal out. Some other friends are on vacation in a place full of amazing experiences. The only vacation The Craftsman and I took together, I ended up VERY sick during. That was in 2000. The last motel date was the night before our vacation in 2000--we were on the cruise because Ford was giving a gift to techs who earned their Sr Master Tech status. I know couples who walk together and work together. They talk to one another about topics besides kids and the house. When we were dating, I'd take a book up to the shop while The Craftsman worked. When he was done, I'd stop reading and he'd take me home. This change is my fault. The guys told me they put a comfy chair near the wood stove, I could read up there instead of at home, in the kitchen. Although, it may cut down on cookies....I better stay at the house!!!
OK, I sound whiny and complaining. It isn't supposed to be. It is an observation of how different people experience time together. At the moment, I'm writing and The Craftsman is online looking for some car parts. Later, we may watch a tv show and I already know I won't need to make his lunch. He went out today. That gives us more time to watch TV. (I'll make sure to have my book for the commercials!)
