I am reading a book. It is a good book. However, I am a bit uncomfortable. In this story, the author mentions her son and that he wanted to be in her story. She then writes her son was surprised to be the hero as there would be kissing. From this comment, I must assume (right or wrong), the son is not very old.
Eons ago, The Craftsman took me and only me to see a movie. It was 'What Women Want'. My enjoyment in the film was tempered by recognizing some of the members in the audience. Students form the Kindergarten class I worked in twice a week.
The mom in me feels kids should not be subjected to the adult world until needed. Perhaps this isn't a thing anymore. Maybe the son of the author doesn't mind being featured as the main character in an erotic novel. Obviously, the mom is ok with the idea! I know it is none of my business, it just makes me wonder.
Then, I recall Francis H. Burnett. She patterned 'Little Lord Fauntleroy after her son and he HATED it! I will need to remember to never put either of the boys in a story I write, unless it is one I am sure they'll enjoy~
