I find some of my most useful words in books. One of my favorites is in one of my VERY favorite LM Montgomery books, My Blue Castle. The main character, Valancey, uses the word 'Piffle' and I just LOVE that word!!! I also found two today in an article. It was about a book I will never read, it is a very bad book (bad in writing, so bad, these words struck my funny bone hard!) and it is probably the only redeemable part of the entire book/series. I'm not promoting the books, I thought they were poorly written (did I say that already??). It is the first in the second portion of the 'Shades' novels. Ana uses the phrase, 'Shouty capitals.' for something. Probably when Grey was fucking her against or over or other preposition (not proposition, although, those are in there, too) a household item.
I love that phrase. I can't see it having any part of an erotic BDSM series, but I like it. It is quirky, silly, and absolutely pointless. I am not sure where or when I'd use the phrase, but I do hope I'll find one sometime. It is just too ridiculous to let lie. The only bad part in using it, I may have to cite it. Which may be the point that stops me.
Oh, piffle in shouty capitals!!!!!
